CHJS was born as a project based on texts by Richieri (poet-performer) and music by Córdova (musician-composer-singer). After months of experimentation in studio, they came to light with a hybrid of their different disciplines which they call "spoken song".
In 2009 they were nominated as best new artist and best alternative rock album in the Uruguayan Graffiti Music Awards (winning the latter)
